IIGJ -ORRA collabration underORRA Graduate Retail Trainee Scheme”


On 22nd February 2021, Indian Institute of Gem and Jewellery (IIGJ) Mumbai , collaborated with ORRA and started an intensive twelve day “ORRA Graduate Retail Trainee Scheme” training program. ORRA plans to train more than 100 graduates to take up positions in their new retail outlets all over the country.

The objective of “Retail Sales training” is to develop a team of young competent fresher’s from college to manage store operations and equip them with skills that would make them efficient and competent individuals and take on the roles of Retail sales Associates at ORRA stores across India.

Chief Guest Mr. Dipu Mehta, Managing Director – ORRA Ltd, Guest of honor Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director GJEPC, Former Chairman GJEPC, Board of Directors of IIGJ – Mr. Sanjay Kothari, Mr. Cecil De Santa Maria, The Chief Operating Officer of ORRA, Mr. Sudhir Sohoni, Advisor Organisation Development and Head of the Institute Mr. Sanjoy Ghosh graced the beginning of the first ever OGRTS batch.

Mr. Sudhir Sohoni, Advisor of Organisation Development, OORA extended his warm welcome and introduced the sales training program to the ORRA participants. He also gave a brief idea about the training and it’s scope for the participants in the future.

Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director GJEPC, enlightened the participants about the future scope of Indian Jewellery Industry in the world.

Chief Guest Mr. Dipu Mehta, Managing Director – ORRA , shared  the vision and mission of ORRA  and welcomed the members to their sales team.

Mr. Cecil De Santa Maria, the Chief Operating Officer of ORRA shared the company’s goals and aspirations with the participants.

Mr. Sanjay Kothari, assured continuous support from IIGJ, Mumbai for all ORRA ORGTS programs in the future.

The inauguration ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Sanjoy Ghosh – Head of the Institute
